Being from southern Louisiana, I am drawn to pictures of swampland. When I saw the beautiful photographs taken of Arkansas swampland by Rita Szabo I had to paint one. I asked for permission and she graciously granted it. I loved being reminded of the Atchafalaya Basin in Louisiana. I hope you love my colorful rendition of the the cypress swamps in fall color. I added a blue heron because I love them.
