This painting was completed over a period of 2 1/2 years. The Glory Hole is a beautiful rock formation with a waterfall pouring through a massive hole in an overhang in the Buffalo River National Forest. My son-in-law, Greg James, took 2 photographs of the Glory Hole which I combined to produce this painting. I have always wanted to paint the beauty of the Buffalo River and its surrounding areas since my first visit in the summer of 1972. I wanted to portray the majesty of this place and the fact that the Earth is a living entity.
